UNCTAD participated in the 1st China Convention and Exhibition Industry International Trade Forum under the theme: Convention and Exhibition Promotes Economic and Trade Development. The event was held within the China Import Expo (CIIE), held in Shanghai on 5-6 November 2018.
Organized by the China National Exhibition Industry Magazine, National Exhibition Industry Association in collaboration with UNCTAD, WTO, and WTPF. UNCTAD highlighted the important integration of the “exhibition industry” in the creative industry ecosystem.
The expo is an important platform for cultural exchange and cooperation between countries and along the Belt and Road. The exhibition industry is an important economic platform to boost various creative industry sectors and to promote its internationalization.
