Ms. Teresa Moreira, Head of Competition and Consumer Policies at UNCTAD, will speak at the launching of the "International programme for improving the management of government agencies in consumer protection" led by the former Heads of consumer protection agencies Mr. Fernando Blanco, Argentina, and Mr. Ivo Gagliuffi, Peru and the consumer protection lawyer Mr. Javier Wajntraub.
This three-month course is organized online by the Centre for Consumer Studies (Centro de Estudios en Derecho del Consumidor) hosted at the Law Faculty of the National Southern University of Argentina. It aims to build capacities of consumer protection officials of Latin American countries though legal, administrative and technological perspectives. UNCTAD will deliver two master classes: one on International consumer protection (6 October 2020) and another one on Dispute resolution and redress (1 December 2020).
