Session 5: Climate Smart Trade Facilitation

This session will address the topic of: Climate Smart Trade Facilitation: Accelerating clean energy transition in global trade.

Presenters will address three questions on how to accelerate progress in tackling trade facilitation challenges:

1. Centrality: In what way can trade facilitation become essential for reducing global emissions?
2. Carbon footprint: What is the true value of paperless trade in reducing Co2 emissions?
3. Sustainability: Should trade facilitation play a more holistic role in encouraging sustainable practices by enforcing renewable energy implementation in border agencies?
