Data for services trade and development policy
The World Trade Organization (WTO) will hold a Trade in Services for Development (TS4D) Conference on 3 and 4 December in Geneva. Against this backdrop, UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) with the support of the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) will host a session titled Making the Invisible Visible: Data for Services Trade and Development Policy.
This session will share country experiences, identify needs, and highlight innovative uses of data to answer key policy questions and strengthen the evidence base for inclusive, sustainable, services-led economic diversification and structural transformation.
It will also showcase UNCTAD’s new Primer on data for trade in services and development policies, featuring 20 key datasets and mapping major data gaps and capacity needs.
