The Start Up Module of UNCTAD's Empowerment Programme for National Trade Facilitation Committees will address delegations from Benin, Gabon and Sao Tome and Principe. The workshop will be delivered in English, French and Portuguese, adapting the message to the linguistic needs of participants.
The objectives are:
- To share experiences between the delegations from Benin, Gabon and Sao Tome and Principe,
- To prepare a first draft of the Terms of Reference of the NTFC of each participating country,
- To learn from the best practices in the establishment and maintenance of NTFCs,
- To increase understanding of the legal steps for establishing NTFCs.
The ToRs elaborated during the workshop will be presented for comments and validation to a broader set of Trade Facilitation Stakeholders (future members of the committees) on the occasion of the first Module of the Empowerment Programme, to be organized in each country in the following months.
