The United Nations Taskforce on Social and Solidarity Economy, co-chaired by UNCTAD and ILO, on 15 October 2024, will hold a hybrid event: Unlocking the social and solidarity economy’s full potential for sustainable development, hosted by the French Permanent Mission to the UN in New York City.

This high-level gathering will explore the findings of the Secretary-General’s report on the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE), outlining its role in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through inclusive, resilient, and sustainable growth.

Key speakers, including UNTFSSE Co-Chairs and representatives from France, Spain, and other UN Member States, will present insights on the progress and future actions required to support SSE development globally.
