Training session on innovation and entrepreneurship

A series of three webinars and interactive discussion with UN agencies on key Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) policy and policy instruments aspects, as well as innovation and entrepreneurship processes and how they relate to the SDGs.

The webinars are taking place on 19 and 26 November and 3 December 2020 with the target to strengthen national STI systems and thus foster STI for the achievement of the SDGs.

This session discusses the concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship, with focus on governmental support to start-ups, SMEs and innovators, followed by best practices and successful stories from innovation entities in response crisis and global challenges, and examples of direct policy impact on innovation.

These webinars are being organized by the UN Interagency Task Team on STI for the SDGs (IATT) to mobilize STI solutions for attaining the SDGs. UNCTAD, as part of the IATT Work, is taking action on building capacity through training courses and workshops on STI Policy for SDGs addressed to policy-makers and key STI managers from developing countries.
