UEMOA/WAEMU Training Seminar on International Competition Law and Compliance

As part of UNCTAD assistance to WAEMU's regional competition framework, UNCTAD will organize a training seminar on International Competition Law and Compliance in cooperation with the School of Management and Law, Zurich

University
of Applied Sciences. The seminar will take place in Geneva from 01 to 12 July 2013. The aim of the seminar is to equip competition officials from the WAEMU Commission and the representatives of its Member States with solid technical, procedural and practical knowledge in the field of antitrust compliance.

Expected outcome / Deliverables 

After completing this course participants will a) be familiar with the source of law, legal principles, and operating procedures of national and international competition law; b) have extended their experience in WAEMU, European and U.S. antitrust law; c) be able have relevant influence on the formulation of risk management and independently develop and implement antitrust-compliance programs, etc. 

Participants: Competition officials from the WAEMU Commission and its member States.
