The study tour is organized by theUNCTAD Virtual Institute (Vi, DGDS) at the request of the University ofInternational Business and Economics (UIBE) and the Central University ofFinance and Economics (CUFE).
During one week, students willundergo tailored training on trade and development delivered by UNCTAD’sdivisions and programmes, the WTO, WIPO, ITC and the Permanent Mission of China.
The programme includes sessions on currenttrends and challenges in the world economy, foreign direct investment, theimpact of economic development on climate change, technology and innovation, currenttrade negotiations with China, as well as the role of intellectual property in commerce.The study tour will also offer a simulation exercise on FDI and a hands-onsession on ITC’s market research tools and programme on non-tariff measures.
