The 11th session of the Federal Trade Commission Hearings Initiative, entitled "The FTC's Role in a Changing World" will focus on the agency's international role in light of globalization, technological change, and the increasing number of competition, consumer protection, and privacy laws and enforcement agencies around the world.

The effectiveness of the FTC's enforcement cooperation tools and approaches in light of new changes in the three areas, approaches to promoting international policy coordination and best practice development, and strategies for international enforcement and policy engagement will be considered.
The hearings are expected to provide FTC's staff with insights and views from a wide range of stakeholders, welcoming public comments and being webcasted, transcribed, and placed on the public record.
 
CCPB/UNCTAD will participate in the panel on “promoting sound policies for the next decade,” (March 26).
