The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) has a project promoting technology assessment (TA) in the energy and agricultural sectors in Africa to accelerate progress in science, technology and innovation.
Following the regional workshop that UNCTAD organized for the three beneficiary countries in May 2023 in South Africa, these countries have started to work on the mapping of actors and stakeholders, i.e. Step 3 of the Technology Assessment methodology. This is a crucial step to properly implement Steps 4 and 5, hence the need to take stock of the work undertaken so far and to share experiences among the three beneficiary countries on the project implementation, the challenges faced and the lessons learned.
All members of the steering committee and expert group of Seychelles, South Africa and Zambia are invited to participate in this virtual workshop. International experts having experience in undertaking technology assessment are also invited to share their expertise and insights.
