Webinar 5 of the Maldives e-Learning Empowerment Programme for the National Trade Facilitation Committee

This is the fifth online webinar organized for the Maldives Online Empowerment Program Training for National Trade Facilitation Committees (NTFCs)*.

This course is designed to strengthen national trade facilitation stakeholders from Maldives with the understanding of fundamental concepts of trade facilitation as well as recommendations based on best practices. As part of this training, ten webinars will be organized. The fifth module is entitled “Introduction to WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement”. After completing the fifth module, participants will be more familiar with the history that led to the adoption of the WTO TFA, the structure of the Agreement and the nature of the obligations; and the groundbreaking special and differential treatment provisions available for developing and least developing countries.

The objective of the webinar is to provide the NTFC from Maldives with an opportunity to discuss more in-depth the content of the first module of the UNCTAD e-Learning Course for NTFCs. Besides discussion on the content of the module, participants will also have the chance to share their experience on the best use of the platform.
