Webinar 7 of the Maldives e-Learning Empowerment Programme for the National Trade Facilitation Committee

This is the seventh online webinar organized for the Maldives Online Empowerment Program Training for National Trade Facilitation Committees (NTFCs)*.

This course is designed to strengthen national trade facilitation stakeholders from Maldives with the understanding of fundamental concepts of trade facilitation as well as recommendations based on best practices. As part of this training, ten webinars will be organized. The seventh module is entitled “WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement: Understanding the provisions - Part 2”. After completing this module, participants will be more versed with various provisions of the agreement. For each of the specific provisions, participants will understand better what the measure requires, what is not included in the measure, and what countries should check to make sure they are in compliance with the measure.

The objective of the webinar is to provide the NTFC from Maldives with an opportunity to discuss more in-depth the content of the first module of the UNCTAD e-Learning Course for NTFCs. Besides discussion on the content of the module, participants will also have the chance to share their experience on the best use of the platform.
