The Seventh UN Review Conference on the adoption of the United Nations Set of Multilaterally Agreed Equitable Principles and Rules for the Control of Restrictive Business Practices (United Nations Set) will be held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva between 6 and 10 July 2015.

UN-7thReview_LOGO_300x136.gifThe Seventh UN Review Conference will mark the 35th anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations Set in December 1980.

The Conference will:

  • Review the experience gained in the application of the United Nations Set.

  • Exchange views on important matters related to the implementation of the United Nations Set.

  • Consider proposals for improving the United Nations Set.

  • Decide upon the direction of future work in order to ensure that competition policy contributes fully to development and poverty reduction.

  • Provide an occasion for heads of competition authorities and senior officials of developed and developing countries, including Least Developing Countries and Economies in transition to network among themselves for informal and voluntary cooperation.

  • Strengthen UNCTAD's ability to deliver effective and result-oriented capacity building to interested developing and least developed countries, to enable them to maximize gains from trade and investment, and ensure that competition policy enhances competitiveness and development.
