UNCTAD/PRESS/EB/2004/003 TRADITIONAL KNOWLEDGE: SEARCHING FOR SOLUTIONS

UNCTAD and the Commonwealth Secretariat are staging an informal experts workshop from 4 to 6 February at the Palais des Nations to brainstorm on options at the national and international levels for the preservation, protection and promotion for development of traditional knowledge. Carlos Correa (University of Buenos Aires), Peter Drahos (Australian National University), representatives of indigenous groups and delegates to the WTO are among the 80 participants expected to attend.
