Alexandre Dabbou is the Head of the Enterprise Branch in the Division on Investment and Enterprise.
He oversees UNCTAD’s work on entrepreneurship policies and capacity-building for entrepreneurship and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, including the EMPRETEC and Business Linkages programmes. He is responsible for the Business Facilitation Programme, which, through a series of web-based e-government systems, supports countries in improving their investment, trade and business climate. He also steers the work on accounting and reporting (ISAR), for which UNCTAD serves as the focal point within the United Nations system.
Mr. Dabbou joined the United Nations in 1995 at the UN Information Centre in Paris and transferred to UNCTAD’s Division on Investment and Enterprise in 2003. From 2010 to 2022, he served as Head of the Office of the Director of the Division. Prior to joining the United Nations, he held positions as a researcher and lecturer at Paris-Dauphine University.
A graduate of IHEC Carthage, Mr. Dabbou holds a Master’s degree in Management Sciences and a DEA in Economics from Paris IX–Dauphine University.
