Mr. Amrane has been appointed by His Majesty the King Mohamed VI as Chief Executive
Officer of Ithmar Capital in February 2019. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Amrane was Deputy CEO of the national agency in charge of deploying Morocco’s renewable energy strategy.
Mr. Amrane’s previous experience in the economic and financial fields, as well as his engineering expertise, allowed him to oversee all operations throughout the investment value chain from development to legal engineering, partnerships and project financing.
In 2022, Mr. Amrane has become Chair of the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF). He also, in the same year, was designated Chair of the Africa Sovereign Investors Forum (ASIF), a multilateral platform initiated by Ithmar Capital.
Mr. Amrane has been elected President of the Cluster ENR, a Climate Innovation Center that brings together 200 companies and institutions with several achievements in the fields of renewable energy and green technologies.
Thanks to his expertise in ESG driven companies, as well as his involvement in organizations focused in the energy transition areas, Mr. Amrane was appointed by the European Commission as a member of the High Level Expert Group on scaling up sustainable finance in low and middle income countries launched in September 2022.
From 2006 to 2010, Mr. Amrane was Managing Director in the banking industry in Morocco. Prior to that, Mr. Amrane held various positions in the Moroccan Ministry of Economy and Finance. He was a Public Finance Inspector, Head of the Debt Restructuring Service at the Treasury Division, and then Head of Credit within the same division.
Mr. Amrane holds a dual degree in engineering, from Hassan II Institute of Agronomy, and in Finance, from the General Inspectorate of Finances and the Association of Investment Management & Research (certification).
As a principal investor, senior manager, company founder, and advisor to the German government, Jörg currently serves as the CEO of KfW Capital, a subsidiary of the German state-owned KfW Group and a leading European VC fund investor, which he co-founded in 2018.
Previous stations of his career include The Blackstone Group, Cerberus Capital and BNP Paribas. Earlier in his career, he held positions at The Boston Consulting Group, and Metzler Bank.
Jörg holds a PhD in Finance and a dual degree in Electrical Engineering and Economics.

Laurent Zylberberg is currently Senior Executive Vice-President of the French Caisse des Depots in charge of International and Public Affairs. He is also Chairman of the European Long Term Investors Association since 2016.
Previously, he was political adviser for different Ministers (Home office, Defence, Prime Minister’s office, social affairs) from 1989 to 1993, he also taught at Sorbonne University in political science and public law. Social Affairs Counsellor at the French Embassy in London until 1996, then joined “Euroconsultants” a consulting company in Brussels. Back to Paris in 1998, he worked for France Telecom/Orange as marketing director for public services. In 2002, he is appointed Group Director for public affairs. In 2005, he is Group Director for Employee Relations. In 2011, he is appointed as CEO of Orange Vietnam before being designated, in 2013 as Group Chief Compliance Officer.
Laurent has a background in sociology, political science and public law. He holds a PhD (1992) in sociology.
