Consultations of the President of the Trade and Development Board

The President of the Trade and Development Board, Ambassador Debapriya Bhattacharya, will hold consultations with the extended bureau of the Board and interested member States on Friday, 27 March 2009, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon in room XXVI of the Palais des Nations.

The agenda will be as follows:

1.Briefings on:

• Preparations for the special high-level meeting of the Economic and Social Council with the Bretton Woods institutions, the World Trade Organization and UNCTAD (27 April)
  
• Preparations for Commission sessions (May 2009)
  
• Preparations for the UNCTAD Public Symposium (May 2009)

2.Draft provisional agenda for the 47th executive session of the Board (June 2009)

3.Calendar of meetings

4.Other business.

Background material for the consultations will be made available prior to the consultations.

The consultations will be followed by the 46th executive session of the Trade and Development Board, which will begin at 12 noon.
