The Voluntary Peer Review on Consumer Protection Law and Policy of Gabon was conducted at the seventh session of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Consumer Protection Law and Policy on 3 July 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland, under the auspices of UNCTAD and the leadership of the Directorate General for Competition, Consumption and Fraud Repression (DGCCRF) of Gabon.
UNCTAD and DGCCRF are hosting a series of public and private events in Libreville to disseminate the findings and recommendations emanating from the review and to raise awareness of the key policymakers on the impact that those recommended actions can have in improving consumer policies and welfare. The ultimate goal is to support policy and institutional reform and to strengthen consumer protection in the country.
