An E-Commerce Agenda for Development: Revisiting the FEDs Roadmap

​One year after its launch during UNCTAD’s first E-Commerce Week in 2017, the Friends of E-commerce for Development (FEDs) Roadmap has served as the backbone for placing Development at the core of the E-Commerce discussions held in Geneva. Today, it is more important than ever to reexamine its 7 key criteria and this event will give the audience an opportunity to understand in length their scope, how developing countries can use it as a toolkit for achieving the SDGs related to digital trade and receive first-hand perspectives and experiences from high level authorities from LDCs and developing countries.

This dialogue will have the participation of capital-based authorities and Permanent Representatives from FED members, that will share their views on the impact the Roadmap has had on their efforts to create effective public policies addressed to promote an E-Commerce environment that maintains development at its essence. The exchange with the audience will be encouraged through an interactive conversation that will seek to broaden the general knowledge of different national realities, success stories, challenges and opportunities.
