International Conference on Maritime Transport Challenges, Governance and Innovation in Ports

The International Conference on Maritime Transport Challenges, Governance and Innovation in Ports, organized by the UNCTAD TrainForTrade Programme in cooperation with the General Port Administration, Puertos del Estado and the Port Authorities of Valencia, Gijón, Las Palmas and Santander, will be held from 11 to 12 April 2024 at the DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton Buenos Aires (Reconquista 945 (C1003ABS) Buenos Aires, Argentina).

Representatives of the Ports of Valencia, Santander, Las Palmas, Puertos del Estado (Spain), Valenciaport Foundation, the General Administration of Ports; the Navigation Center of Argentina,  South Dock Port and Bahía Blanca port will participate in the conference panels.

Objectives of the conference :

• Describe the panorama of international shipping
• Identify and analyze port challenges
• Identify key aspects to consider in port governance
• Identify key aspects to promote port innovation

Assess best practices to implement the Sustainable Development Goals in ports through the Port Endeavor game
