This event will mark the launch of third edition of the course on Monitoring and Evaluation for Trade Facilitation. This course is part of the UNCTAD Empowerment Programme for Trade Facilitation.
The course is designed to strengthen capacities of National Trade Facilitation Committee (NTFC) members and other trade facilitation stakeholders on monitoring and evaluation. By the end of this course, participants will understand the main concepts of monitoring and evaluation and how they are relevant in the context of trade facilitation.
They will also become more familiar with the planning tools and approaches, as well as the key components of a monitoring plan. Finally, this course will show them the main steps they need to follow in order to conduct an evaluation.
This third edition will be delivered in selected English-speaking countries participating in two UNCTAD projects: “Accelerate Trade Facilitation”, financed by the United Kingdom, and “Capacity building for East African Community trade portals connectivity and trade facilitation support”, financed by the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Multilateral Cooperation Centre for Development Finance (MCDF).
