On behalf of the President of the Trade and Development Board, H.E. Mr. Federico Villegas (Argentina), the UNCTAD secretariat has the pleasure to inform member States that the third session of the Preparatory Committee for UNCTAD 15 (Prepcom) will take place on 26 March 2021 at 10:30 a.m.
The third session is intended to be a transparency session where coordinators and other proponents will have an opportunity to share with the broader membership progress made with regard to the negotiating text. It is therefore not expected that there would be a traditional "reading" of going through the text paragraph by paragraph. The session would also be an opportunity to discuss next steps in the Prepcom if there are significant developments with regard to the measures pertaining to the pandemic.
Due to the limitations imposed by UNOG on virtual meetings with interpretation, the Prepcom would meet from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and then from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Online registration is mandatory for all UNCTAD meetings.
The link to the remote platform will be sent through INDICO to all registered participants the day before the meeting.
