Regional workshop on DeMPA methodology and operational risk in debt management

The World Bank and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) are jointly organizing a virtual regional workshop on Debt Management Performance Assessment (DeMPA) methodology and operational risks in debt management from May 2-6, 2022.

The DeMPA tool covers all central government debt management functions and contains a set of indicators for assessing debt management performance in developing countries. The results of these assessment are used to facilitate national dialogue, guide the elaboration of reform plans, harmonize donor assistance, and monitor debt management performance.

The objective of the workshop is to present the DeMPA methodology, including the latest modifications in the 2021 revision, the scope, the coverage and the application of the DeMPA tool.

This workshop will also address operational risk management for debt offices.
