The meeting presents the first opportunity for the UNCTAD member States to discuss how to incorporate the outcome of the 12th Ministerial Conference (MC12) of World Trade Organization (WTO) into the roadmap to achieve the four areas of transformation as set out in the outcome of the 15th United Nations Conference on trade and Development (UNCTAD15), the Bridgetown Covenant.
Focus
The event will focus on international responses to trade and development challenges in the short-term (ongoing supply and price shocks) and in the medium- to long-term (climate change, economic diversification).
Logistics
The event will be held in a hybrid format, with both physical and online participation, with interpretation in the six official UN languages.
