The Spanish-Speaking Network of the UNCTAD’s TrainForTrade Port Management Programme, together with the Maritime Policy Bureau and with the support of the Port Authority of Valencia and Las Palmas, is organizing the inauguration of the 1st edition of the Modern Port Management course.
The ceremony will be attended by national authorities and representatives of public and private institutions from Panama’s port community, as well as representatives from Spanish port authorities, the United Nations in Panama, and UNCTAD.
The delivery of Module 1: “International Trade and Transport” will be facilitated by two port experts from Spain.
The UNCTAD TrainForTrade Port Management Programme supports port communities in achieving efficient and competitive port management. To facilitate international trade and foster economic development, the programme creates port networks that bring together public, private, and international entities. The goal is to share knowledge and experience among port operators while strengthening talent management and human resource development within port communities.
