The United Nations Economic and Social Council has transmitted the results of the UN-CSTD ten-year review of progress made in the implementation of WSIS outcomes to the General Assembly for its deliberations ahead of the overall review in December.
These include the summary of the substantive ten-year review discussion that took place at the Commission’ s 18th session1, along with the statements that were made in that regard, and the CSTD secretariat’s report: “Implementing WSIS Outcomes: A Ten-Year Review”.
This comprehensive report surveys available evidence on WSIS and draws on a variety of sources, including close to one hundred written inputs where stakeholders shared their experiences and views of WSIS implementation.
