The study tour is organized by the UNCTAD Virtual Institute (Vi) at the request of Chinese member, the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE).
During the week, students from UIBE will undergo tailored training on trade and development delivered by UNCTAD, WTO, ITC, WIPO and the Permanent Mission of China.
Topics covered during the tour include: the international financial system, foreign direct investment, global value chains, technology and innovation, corporate social responsibility, Doha negotiations, trade policy of China, and WTO dispute settlement.
The programme will also include a hands-on session on ITC’s market research and analysis tools, and a simulation exercise on FDI.
