This is the ninth online webinar organized for the Jamaica Online Empowerment Program Training for National Trade Facilitation Committees (NTFCs)*. Following the launch of the e-Learning course on 2 July 2025, eleven live webinars will be organized every two weeks.
This course is designed to strengthen national trade facilitation stakeholders from Jamaica with the understanding of fundamental concepts of trade facilitation as well as recommendations based on best practices. As part of this training, ten webinars will be organized. The ninth module is entitled “Trade facilitation and e-business standards and recommendations by UN/CEFACT”. After completing this module, participants will be more versed with various international standards, recommendations and tools designed and published by organizations such as the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT). The module shows how UN/CEFACT works and why these international organizations are important for the efficient functioning of the global trading system.
The objective of the webinar is to provide the members of the NTFC and other stakeholders from Jamaica with an opportunity to discuss more in-depth the content of the ninth module of the UNCTAD e-Learning Course for NTFCs. Besides discussion on the content of the module, participants will also have the chance to share their experience on the best use of the platform.
