
The "Working Party" meets two to three times per year to review UNCTAD's programme plan and performance information, technical cooperation activities, evaluations, publications policy and communications strategy, as well as other topics mandated by the Trade and Development Board, which oversees the organization's activities and deals with policy issues, management and institutional matters.
The eighty-fifth session of the Working Party will review the draft UNCTAD programme plan and performance information for the year 2024, part A of the proposed programme budget.
Participation and registration
Registration should be completed online.
Member States are requested to submit to the UNCTAD secretariat the names of their representatives, alternate representatives and advisers who will participate in the session by Thursday, 19 January 2023.
Representatives from United Nations bodies and programmes, specialized agencies and other intergovernmental bodies that may wish to participate in the session as observers are also requested to inform the UNCTAD secretariat of the names of their representatives by the same date.
Logistics
The session will be held with physical participation, in room XXVI of the Palais des Nations, and remote participation, through a simultaneous interpretation platform in the six official languages of the United Nations.
A link to the formal virtual meeting will be sent to registered participants, at the email address used for registration, one day in advance of the start of the session.
