This workshop is designed as a three-day interactive event to support Eswatini in developing a comprehensive and actionable Trade Facilitation Roadmap. Its primary objective is to produce a results-oriented roadmap, underpinned by clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that can be tracked and monitored through the Reform Tracker platform.
The programme will begin with a participatory assessment of progress made in implementing the Eswatini Trade Facilitation Roadmap 2024–2026, providing a foundation for identifying priorities and shaping future actions.
In addition, the workshop seeks to strengthen the capacity of Eswatini’s trade facilitation stakeholders by equipping them with practical planning, monitoring, and evaluation skills. Participants will gain hands-on experience in applying tools such as the Reform Tracker to oversee implementation, measure progress, and support evidence-based decision-making.
The workshop adopts a highly participatory methodology that combines targeted training sessions with collaborative planning and drafting exercises. Over the course of three days, participants, including members of the National Trade Facilitation Committee (NTFC) and technical experts, will work together to establish baseline data, define a shared vision, identify strategic objectives, develop priority activities, and design an effective governance framework for implementation.
Dedicated sessions on monitoring and evaluation, risk management, and key assumptions will help ensure that the Roadmap is practical, measurable, and sustainable.
