The Workshop jointly organized by UNCTAD and the UfM on Key Issues in International Investment Policy Reform will be held on 17 June 2026 at the Palais des Nations. The event will gather experts to examine current challenges and reform efforts in international investment policy.
Morning sessions will cover global trends in International Investment Agreements (IIAs), developments in investor-State dispute settlement (ISDS), and the impact of geopolitical turbulence on IIAs. Discussions will focus on UNCTAD’s Guiding Principles on IIA Reform, investment facilitation in IIAs, and the role of investment promotion agencies in reform processes. The workshop will conclude with a session preparing for the World Investment Forum.
The participants of this by-invitation-only workshop are from the UfM Member States, particularly government officials and experts involved in investment policymaking.
