The country’s Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology has reviewed challenges that the nation faces, at the meeting that saw the presentation of UNCTAD’s Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Review of the Dominican Republic.

The objective of the meeting is to complete the Compilers Guide of the Manual on Statistics of International Trade in Services 2010 (MSITS 2010). The meeting will be attended by about 40 experts of international agencies, national statistical offices and central banks of developed and developing countries.
Ninth UNCTAD-OECD Report on G20 Investment Measures released

The report finds that G20 members have continued to honour their pledge not to introduce new restrictive policies for international investment. However, it cautions policymakers that foreign direct investment (FDI) may not only be limited through formal policy changes, but also through individual administrative decisions and informal public signals that are beyond the scope of the report.
