The objective of UNCTAD Insurance Programme is to assist developing countries and countries with economies in transition to set up insurance capacity, competitive and well-regulated insurance markets and human resources development.
The programme accomplishes these objectives through policy analysis, consensus building, provision of targeted policy advice and technical assistance.
The programme focuses its work on the following areas:
