Key IssuesThe Panel will address the following two priority themes:
- Theme 1: The role of science, technology and innovation to increase substantially the share of renewable energy by 2030
- Theme 2: Building digital competencies to benefit from existing and emerging technologies, with special focus on gender and youth dimensions
In addition, the Panel will examine issues related to the follow-up to the outcomes of the Wolrd Summit on the Information Society (WSIS).
Findings and recommentations of the Panel are expected to be considered at the 21st session of the CSTD to be held in May 2018.
