Ad Hoc Expert Meeting on Maritime Transport in Africa: Challenges and Opportunities, and an Agenda for Future Research

Organized in collaboration with Korea Maritime Institute (KMI) and TradeMark East Africa (TMEA), the meeting will address, among other issues:

• Relevant trends currently shaping the maritime transport landscape in Africa.

• Key challenges and potential opportunities associated with maritime transport in Africa.

• Ways and means in which IAME’s research network could be leveraged to further research on “Maritime Transport in Africa”.

• Data collection and sharing, performance indicators’ measurement, and partnership-building in support of Africa’s maritime transport.
