The Platform provides a forum to: share experiences, build capacity and shape policy in six key areas:
Macroeconomic and Financial Policies that assist developing countries to maintain stable macroeconomic environment and adopt effective financial and monetary policy measures to boost strong and sustained growth.
Trade Policies that facilitate developing countries' participation in Global Value Chains or Regional Value Chains, which might provide both rent and learning effect to them.
Industrial Policies which boost industrial upgrading and diversification, which is needed for structural transformation.
Debt Management Policies will assist both creditor and debt countries to improve their capacity in debt management - aiming to achieve economic development together with debt sustainability.
Investment Policies that facilitate FDI inflows and outflows and channel it into strengthening productive capacities.
Digital Economic Policies that would allow developing countries to seize the opportunity through identifying new driving force of growth and structural transformation.
The Platform is supported by the UN Peace and Development Trust Fund: 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Sub-Fund - South-South Integration and the SDGs: Enhancing Structural Transformation in Key Partner Countries of the Belt and Road Initiative.
