Within the framework of the Trade and Private Sector Development Project financed by the European Union (EU), and in cooperation with the University of Zimbabwe and Competition and Tariff Commission, UNCTAD organized three training courses on competition in Harare between 2 and 13 February 2015.

UNCTAD hosted a meeting in Geneva to debate proposed revisions to the United Nations Guidelines for Consumer Protection. The revisions aim to ensure the guidelines remain relevant to the evolving challenges faced by consumers, especially in the areas of e-Commerce and financial services.
According to preliminary estimates by UNCTAD and WTO, in the third quarter of 2014, world exports of services grew by 4.7% compared with the same quarter of the previous year (balance-of-payments basis, current prices).
