Mr. Amrane has been appointed by His Majesty the King Mohamed VI as Chief Executive
Officer of Ithmar Capital in February 2019. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Amrane was Deputy CEO of the national agency in charge of deploying Morocco’s renewable energy strategy.
Mr. Amrane’s previous experience in the economic and financial fields, as well as his engineering expertise, allowed him to oversee all operations throughout the investment value chain from development to legal engineering, partnerships and project financing.
In 2022, Mr. Amrane has become Chair of the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF). He also, in the same year, was designated Chair of the Africa Sovereign Investors Forum (ASIF), a multilateral platform initiated by Ithmar Capital.
Mr. Amrane has been elected President of the Cluster ENR, a Climate Innovation Center that brings together 200 companies and institutions with several achievements in the fields of renewable energy and green technologies.
Thanks to his expertise in ESG driven companies, as well as his involvement in organizations focused in the energy transition areas, Mr. Amrane was appointed by the European Commission as a member of the High Level Expert Group on scaling up sustainable finance in low and middle income countries launched in September 2022.
From 2006 to 2010, Mr. Amrane was Managing Director in the banking industry in Morocco. Prior to that, Mr. Amrane held various positions in the Moroccan Ministry of Economy and Finance. He was a Public Finance Inspector, Head of the Debt Restructuring Service at the Treasury Division, and then Head of Credit within the same division.
Mr. Amrane holds a dual degree in engineering, from Hassan II Institute of Agronomy, and in Finance, from the General Inspectorate of Finances and the Association of Investment Management & Research (certification).

Rachid Amui is an Economic Affairs Officer in the Commodities Research and Analysis Section of the Commodities Branch, Division on International Trade and Commodities at UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
His research interests are in extractive industries and development, and commodity price risk management.
Prior to joining UNCTAD in 2003, Rachid worked extensively in the field of structures and foundation engineering.
Nancy Amunga is a digital entrepreneur from Kenya who runs Dana Logistics. She has won several international accolades for her business and also for the work she does with fellow youth. She is the youngest honoree of the African Achievers Awards - social impact category - which she received at the House of Commons, UK Parliament in July 2018. Nancy is also an awardee of the Commonwealth young entrepreneur of the year 2018.
She received the Dedication and Excellence certificate from the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KNCCI) for her dedication towards youth in business.
Nancy has taken part in UNCTAD-EMPRETEC women in Business Program, eFounders fellowship Initiative, and the eTradeforAll Masterclass.
She is passionate about young people in business hence her initiative dubbed the Sprout Agenda where she mentors them and connects them to potential mentors. She uses her blog – www.nancyamunga.com - as a platform to mentor the youth as well as engage with them. Amunga's desire is to impact as many youths as possible and believes that, "Live for yourself and you will be in vain. Live for others and you will live again."
Inger Andersen is Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme.
Between 2015 and 2019, Ms. Andersen was the Director General of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).??Ms. Andersen has more than 30 years of experience in international development economics, environmental sustainability, strategy and operations.
For 15 years at The World Bank, Ms. Andersen held several leadership positions including Vice President of the Middle East and North Africa; Vice President for Sustainable Development and Head of the CGIAR Fund Council. Prior to the World Bank, Ms. Andersen worked for 12 years on drought, desertification; and water management at the United Nations including at the UN Sudano-Sahelian Office and UNDP.
Dave Anderson is a partner in Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner’s (BCLP) Antitrust & Competition Law team and is the founding and Managing Partner of the firm’s Brussels office.
He is a US/UK/Belgian national, qualified to practice in Belgium (A-List), the UK and the US. Dave has practiced international competition and regulatory law for over 25 years. His practice focuses on EU and international aspects of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, restrictive practices, cartels and abuses of dominant positions.
He also advises on EU regulatory law, the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation, foreign direct investment and public affairs. Dave advises clients worldwide across a range of industry sectors and he has specialist expertise in the technology, energy, transportation, mining/minerals, chemicals, agriculture and consumer goods sectors.
Dave is also very active on the policy side of international antitrust. He has served as a non-governmental adviser to the International Bar Association and the European Commission on the work of the International Competition Network (ICN) since the ICN’s founding in 2001.
He has also advised UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) since 2004 and national competition agencies since 1998 on competition law reform and agency capacity building in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America. Dave is a Professor of Law at the University of Liège and a Senior Researcher (Competition Law) at the VUB/Brussels School of Governance.
Dave is also recognized by his clients and peers as a leading international competition lawyer in Global Competition Review, Chambers Global and Legal 500 EMEA.

Professor Dr. Kostas Andriosopoulos is the Executive Director of the Energy Transition & Sustainability Center at Audencia Business School, where he holds the position of full Professor in Finance and Energy Economics. Kostas holds a PhD in Finance (Cass Business School, City University London), where he has been the recipient of the prestigious Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation’s scholarship. He holds an MBA and MSc in Finance (Northeastern University, Boston, USA), and a bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering and Management (Technical University of Crete, Greece). He holds leadership positions in various academic and professional associations, such as the Energy Committee of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce (President), the Decarbonization Fund of the Greek islands for the Hellenic Ministry of Environment & Energy (President), the Hellenic Association for Energy Economics (Founder & BoD Member) and the Global Gas Center (Board Member). In addition to his academic roles, Kostas has extensive professional experience, including serving as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Public Gas Company. Since August 2018, he is the Country Manager of Akuo Energy in Greece. Kostas has contributed significantly to his field, publishing in international finance and commodity-related journals, and participating as a speaker at conferences worldwide. He is the Associate Editor for the International Journal of Financial Engineering and Risk Management, Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Energy Markets.
