
John Lindberg is Policy and Public Affairs Lead at International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM) since July 2022, leading on cross-cutting policy work.
Prior to joining ICMM, John has held a number of policy-facing roles in the UK, Europe and the United States, advising parliamentarians, ministers, governments, think tanks and industry associations on various issues, predominantly within (nuclear) energy policy, regulation, establishing advocacy functions, and communication. He has represented both the UK government and industry at a number of United Nations committees, and is a recognised expert on risk perception and communication, with some of his research cited in Nature.
John holds an MA(Hons) in Political Sciences from the University of Glasgow, an MA in Climate Change: Culture, History, Society from King’s College London, and (shortly) a PhD in social psychology and risk perception from King’s College London and Imperial College London. In 2017, John was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and in 2021 John was featured on the Swedish Nova 111 list as one of the most promising names in politics & the public sector under the age of 35. John is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
Helena is an international environmental lawyer and policy expert working at FAO's Environment team, where she focuses on plastics and bioeconomy.
She previously worked at UNEP in Nairobi, supporting the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC) on plastic pollution. Prior to that, she worked in FAO's Development Law Service, providing legal assistance on forestry, biodiversity, and sustainable agrifood systems.

Hongpeng Liu is the Director of the Energy Division of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
Mr Liu is leading the energy team in ESCAP to promote regional cooperation on energy transition in achieving the Sustainable Development Goal 7 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement.
His work ranges from organizing intergovernmental meetings/policy dialogues, developing knowledge products and providing technical assistance to support member States on sustainable energy development in Asia and the Pacific.
Sue Lloyd’s appointment as Vice-Chair of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), effective 1 March 2022, was announced in January 2022.
She served as a member of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) from 2014 and as IASB Vice-Chair from 2016. She also served as Chair of the IFRS Interpretations Committee from 2017.
In addition to her IASB responsibilities, she played a leading role in the establishment of the ISSB from 2020, including as a member of the Technical Readiness Working Group, which was created by the Trustees to give the ISSB a running start.
Prior to becoming an IASB member, Ms Lloyd worked for the IFRS Foundation as a senior technical director, leading the development of new IFRS Accounting Standards, and as director of capital markets with responsibility for the IASB’s reform of accounting for financial instruments. She also worked for the IFRS Foundation from 2002 to 2004 as a technical project manager.
Ms Lloyd has held various positions in investment banking both in the UK and in Australia and has served as a member of the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB). She has a Master’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Auckland in New Zealand.
Kjell Stefan Löfven is a Swedish politician who is currently serving as Co-Chair of the High-level Advisory Board on Effective Multilateralism.
He was Prime Minister of Sweden from 2014 to 2021, the leader of the Swedish Social Democratic Party from 2012 to 2021, and previously the president of the Swedish Industrial and Metal Workers Union.
In 2016, he launched the Global Deal, a global initiative for social dialogue and better conditions in the labour market.

Matthew Looney works as the Data Scientist at the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC). He has over 22 years working with data and designing data products and analysis tools that have been used to guide basic science research and business intelligence decisions. Matthew was born in the United States in the city of St. Paul, Minnesota but grew up in San Antonio, Texas. He holds a baccalaureate degree in Chemistry (Texas Tech University) and Economics (Penn State University) and a Masters degree (D.E.S.S) in Chemistry (Université de Bordeaux) and a Master Degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics (Texas Tech University). Mr Looney is finishing a Doctoral degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics (Texas Tech University) and expects degree conferment soon.
