
Rui Macieira is Permanent Representative of Portugal to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva.
Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Rui Macieira was the Ambassador of Portugal to Denmark and Lithuania from 2014 to 2018. He served as Director General for Foreign Policy from 2012 to 2014; Director General for European Affairs from 2011 to 2012; Deputy Director General for Foreign Policy from 2008 to 2011; and Deputy Director General for European Affairs from 2006 to 2008.
Rui Macieira was the Deputy Permanent Representative of Portugal to the United Nations in New York from 2002 to 2006. Other posts he has held since joining the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in March 1984 include Deputy Diplomatic Adviser to the Prime Minister from 1995 to 1997; Deputy Head of Mission at the Portuguese Embassy in Rabat in 1995; and First Secretary at the Portuguese Embassy in Paris from 1990 to 1995.
Rui Macieira has a degree in Economics from the Portuguese Catholic University, in Lisbon (1982).

Vansh Madaan is the coordinator of the Youth Action India, a youth-oriented organization in New Delhi working on community engagement to support the rural sector of the city. He is an SDG advocate and public policy enthusiast skilled in leadership, project governance, public speaking, and community engagement.
He is a Social Impact professional and legal expert with experience in the development sector at all levels of government in India and a social entrepreneur with a history of working in the public policy sector.

Ms. Madeje is the Director General of the Cereals and Other Produce Regulatory Authority (COPRA), leading Tanzania’s agricultural transformation under Agenda 10/30. She has over 23 years of experience in driving transformational change across the financial, telecommunications, and development sectors, including key roles at Barclays (now ABSA), Vodacom, Airtel, and FSDT.
Recognized by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) as a leading woman in Tanzania’s financial sector and a recipient of the 2020 Women in Management Africa Award, Irene also serves as Vice Chair of the Tanzania Cooperative Development Commission and as a board member for Exim Bank Tanzania and Lyra Africa.
She is a graduate of the Strathmore School of Business and CEO Roundtable Tanzania Apprenticeship Program, Harvard School of Business Strategic Leadership in Inclusive Finance, and Maastricht School of Management and ESAMI Executive MBA Program as well as Dalhousie University Bachelor of Commerce.
Sherry Madera is a prominent thought leader on sustainability, with a focus on sustainable finance, environmental data and public policy. As CEO, Sherry manages a global leadership team and staff across the UK, Europe, North America, Singapore, Japan, China and Latin America.
Prior to joining CDP, Sherry was Chair of the Future of Sustainable Data Alliance (FoSDA), a global organization focused on supporting data requirements to drive success in sustainable finance. As Senior Vice President, Public Policy for Mastercard, Sherry led on identifying trends and issues that are a priority for governments, industry and regulators for strategic engagement.
A unique combination of former investment banker and diplomat, Sherry has held roles at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), the City of London and the British Embassy in Beijing, as well as Non-Executive Director Roles at Sondrel Limited and the University of Nottingham.
Sherry speaks regularly in global forums on topics including sustainable finance, FinTech, international trade, data policy and geopolitics. She is also author of the book, Navigating Sustainability Data: How Organizations can use ESG Data to Secure Their Future, published in January 2024.

Mr. Madon joined IFAC (International Federation of Accountants) in 2019, where he is Director - Sustainability, Policy & Regulatory Affairs. He is responsible for developing and coordinating IFAC’s sustainability research, policy, and advocacy activities in addition to other topics. His areas of expertise include sustainability reporting and assurance, corporate reporting, audit quality, ethics, investor protection, and financial markets. Prior to IFAC, he represented the IFRS Foundation in the U.S. for nearly a decade. Mr. Madon also worked for over twenty years in financial services, most recently as a Managing Director at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. He holds a Masters in Public Administration-MC from the Harvard Kennedy School, an MBA in Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a BS in Management-Accounting from Purdue University Northwest.

Anastasia Maga is a regional consultant with the Statistics Division of United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, where she is responsible for the project on measuring illicit financial flows in Asia.
She started her professional career as a university lecturer and researcher in 2004, and in 2007 she completed her doctoral work at the Transbaikal State University, Russian Federation. In 2017 she moved to Thailand and continued her teaching and research work at Stamford International University, Bangkok, Thailand. In 2019 she started a doctoral degree in Finance at the National Institute of Development Administration, Thailand.
She attended the Chita State University where she completed the specialist program in regional studies, with a major in North American studies. She went onto to complete a specialist program in economics as her second degree.
Jeffrey Maganya is a seasoned humanitarian and development professional with over 30 years of experience in Africa. As the Director of Programmes and Influencing at Oxfam International in Africa, he leads strategic initiatives to bolster food security for marginalized communities. His experience spans the management, development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive regional and national programs aimed at addressing poverty and inequality.
Previously, as a Regional Advisor for Social Protection in Oxfam, he enhanced strategies for social protection, livelihoods, and resilience to combat the adverse effects of extreme weather and climate changes.
Jeffrey played a pivotal role in collaborating with the Government of Kenya to develop the Hunger Safety Net Programme, one of Africa's largest food security initiatives, which provides cash transfers to 300,000 food-insecure households. His background combines hands-on program management with strategic oversight, directly interfacing with food supply chains that impact the needs of the world's most vulnerable populations.
