Claudio Esteban Maggi Campos es Gerente de Asuntos Estratégicos de CORFO y Presidente del Consejo Directivo del Instituto de Fomento Pesquero, IFOP, así como Consejero de la Fundación para la Innovación Agraria, FIA. Además, ejerce como Profesor Asociado en programas de postgrado en la Universidad de Chile, la Universidad de Concepción y la Universidad de Talca, y es Consejero del Centro de Formación Técnica Lota-Arauco y Open Beauchef, Universidad de Chile. Claudio es Ingeniero Civil Industrial con un Magíster en Ciencias de la Ingeniería con mención en Economía de la Universidad de Chile, y completó un Diplomado en Gestión Territorial para el Desarrollo en el Politécnico de Milán, Italia.


Gloria Magombo is Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Energy and Power Development (MoEPD). Gloria has more than 33 years of experience in the Energy Sector spanning the fields of engineering, management, power sector reform and regulation. Her key areas of experience and expertise include strategy development and implementation, general management, project management, power plant operations and maintenance, plant optimisation and testing, generation planning, feasibility studies, energy sector regulation and training of technical staff and general management.
Before joining MoEPD, Dr.Magombo served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA). She also worked as the Managing Director of an international consultancy firm, Norconsult Botswana. She also worked as Regional Energy Advisor with Southern Africa Global Competitiveness Hub. She is a former Executive Commissioner of Zimbabwe Electricity Regulatory Commission (ZERC) and she also worked as a Generation Expert for ZESA.
She served as the Regional Chairperson of Capacity Building Portfolio for the Regional Electricity Regulators Association (RERA).
Dr. Magombo served as a Councillor at the Engineering Council of Zimbabwe (ECZ) and was recently appointed as the Vice Chairperson of the Harare Institute of Technology (HIT) Board.
She is a representative of Zimbabwe to the IRENA Council were she is the current chair of the 28th and outgoing Chair of the 27th IRENA Council meetings respectively. She is currently chairing Collaborative Framework on Hydropower. She has been championing the discussions on critical materials for energy transition at International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), REN21, and other discussion panels. (The geopolitics, the role and the socio-economic issues including the policies to empower Africa to actively participate in the value chains of critical materials for community benefits). She also chaired the Open Ended Group on IRENA staff tenure. She is currently co-facilitating the IRENA Collaborative Framework on Hydropower. She is a member of the UN Secretary General’s Panel on Critical Energy Transition Minerals.
Dr Magombo is the co-Chairperson of the Zambezi River Authority Board of Directors for Zambia and Zimbabwe. She is also a Board Member of Mathew Rusike Children’s Home Childcare in Zimbabwe, for orphaned and vulnerable children.

Satyakama “Kama” Maharaj is Minister of Trade, Investment and Tourism and a distinguished global entrepreneur, mentor, and advocate for inclusive innovation and economic diversification in Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean.
With a career spanning more than 45 years, Minister Maharaj is widely respected for his contributions to manufacturing, exports, supply chain management, and brand development. He is the founder of a globally recognized beauty brand which he established in 1979 with the vision of creating premium, high-performance cosmetics for women of all skin tones. Under his leadership, the business became an early pioneer in global e-commerce in the late 1990s, building a loyal, international customer base.
Minister Maharaj’s work has earned him several honours, including induction into the World Entrepreneur Hall of Fame in Monte Carlo, and the title of Entrepreneur of the Year in 2016. His company has also been recognized by McKinsey & Company as one of the three oldest Black-owned beauty brands in the world.
Beyond his accomplishments in the private sector, Senator Maharaj has contributed significantly to national development through his service in several public roles, including as Chairman of the Arima Race Club, Chairman of the Betting Levy Board, and Vice Chairman of the Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation (PLIPDECO).
Minister Maharaj holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from York University in Ontario, Canada.

Eslam Mahdy is a sustainability consultant with extensive experience in preparation of sustainable development policy instruments, energy efficiency, decarbonization strategies, and advises several financial institutions in the related areas. Eslam leads PCAF activities in the Middle East region and drives harmonized methodologies for measuring financed emissions in the MENA region. Eslam coordinates the PCAF Engagement Group for Central Banks and Financial Regulators.

Dr. Mainza Obby Nicholus is a Chief Agriculture Economist in-charge of Trade and Agribusiness – Department of Agribusiness and Marketing for the Ministry of Agriculture in Zambia, and the National Secretary for the Economics Association of Zambia. He is also known for his work as an agribusiness specialist and a consultant, a public speaker, a business masterclass tutor, and a part-time University lecturer. He has been in the agribusiness sector for over 20 years of practice and mentorship. He is a frequent TV discussant on African economies and agri-food systems, and has authored the book "I SEE GOLD WHERE OTHERS SEE DUST" with another one to be launched on 20th December, 2025 titled “15 PRINCIPLES OF MONEY MASTERY”. He holds multiple academic and professional qualifications from PhD, MSc, MBA, PGD, BSc to many more corporate certificates in governance and project management. He is the Zambian Man of the Year award winner for Economist of the Year 2025.
Serena is currently working as Executive Director in the Sustainable Finance team within the Institutional Banking Group of DBS Hong Kong.
Prior to DBS, Serena was the Head of ESG Funding Asia for Home Credit, an international consumer finance provider that focuses on responsible lending to people with little or no credit history.
Serena also has over 15 years of experience with Goldman Sachs treasury and market operations in Singapore and Hong Kong, with focus on liquidity management and payment transaction surveillance across the APAC region.
Ms. Mak is also serving as Board Governor & Honorary Secretary at Friends of the Earth (Hong Kong) with a focus on Green and Sustainable Finance development in Asia.
Ms. Serena Mak holds both MSc Investment Management and BBA (Hons) from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Mr. John P. Maketo is Programmes Manager, at the Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development (ZIMCODD)
He is an experienced debt management practitioner, economic justice expert and public policy analyst in developmental, governance and human rights work in Zimbabwe and in the SADC region.
His areas of specialty and interest include governance, accountability, human rights advocacy, economic justice programming. He also has extensively worked national and regional organisations, such as National Association of NGOs (NANGO), Transparency International Zimbabwe, Southern Africa People's Solidarity Network (SAPSN), Fight Inequality Alliance (FIA) and Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development (ZIMCODD).
