

The Rt Hon Lord Goldsmith is the UK Minister for Pacific and the Environment at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), a role he has held since Feb 2020. His responsibilities include climate, environment (including oceans, biodiversity and Illegal Wildlife Trade), the Pacific region and conservation. He was previously a Minister at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and at the Department for International Development.
Jacinta Gomez is Oceana’s Outreach and Project Director in Belize. Originally from Belize, Jacinta is committed to protecting Belize’s marine resources having spent much of her childhood on or near the water. In 2019, Jacinta received her M.S. in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics, for which she received the Chevening Fellowship.
Jacinta joined Oceana in April 2016 as the Communications and Coalitions Officer and has led Oceana’s Field Representative program in Belize since February 2017. Prior to her time at Oceana, she attended the University of South Florida where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Jacinta also holds a Master’s degree in Development Policy from the KDI School of Public Policy and Management in Sejong City, South Korea where she concentrated her studies on International Development and Public Administration

René Gomez Garcia was State Minister for Public Works and Services of Bolivia (2003-2005). He was also Director of Hydrological basins and land at the Ministry of Sustainable Development in Bolivia, as well as the National Coordinator of the Capacity 21 Programme of UNDP. He has more than 27 years of experience in the implementation of irrigation programs in the United States and in various Latin American countries. He has also taught in several private and public universities in Bolivia. He holds a PHD in civil and environmental engineering from the University of California at Davis and a MS in Agriculture and Irrigation Engineering at Utah State University, both in the United States. He is a civil engineer graduated at the Technological Institute of Monterrey, Mexico.

Aimee T. Gonzales is currently the Executive Director of the Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia (PEMSEA), a regional coordinating mechanism to foster healthy and resilient coasts and oceans through applying science based integrated management solutions and strategic partnerships in the East Asian Seas.
Prior to joining PEMSEA, she did analytical and advocacy work to promote policy reforms in the interface of trade, investment and environment with WWF International for more than two decades, notably on fisheries subsidies report in the WTO and in forging closer collaboration on trade, environment and development policy communities.
Before then, she served as Head Executive Assistant to two Cabinet Secretaries of the Philippine Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
She holds a Masters in Environmental Assessment and Education from the London School of Economics and a Masters’ Degree in Public Policy from the National University of Singapore

Daniel Arribas Gonzalez is the Director General for Consumer Affairs of the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and 2030 Agenda, of the government of Spain.
Daniel Arribas holds degrees in Law and Economics from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, as well as a Master’s degree in European Union Law from the same university. In the previous legislative term, he worked as the legal head at the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, leading regulatory production and legal advising in that area.
As a lawyer, he has specialized in Competition Law. He has developed his career in both national and international law firms and has participated in providing legal advice on administrative sanction proceedings before national and EU authorities, as well as in procedures related to merger control, state aid, and advertising law.
