Digital economy report

Digital economy report

The Report, formerly known as the Information Economy Report, is a flagship publication of UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

It provides in-depth analyses of digitalization's impact on inclusive development, exploring opportunities and challenges arising from rapid technological change, particularly in bridging digital divides and promoting equitable distribution of digital economy benefits to ensure no country or individual is left behind.

Published every other year, the Report addresses key issues arising from the evolving digital economy, providing comprehensive and evidence-based analysis to policymakers, international organizations, researchers and other stakeholders.

It aims to support the development of informed strategies that foster inclusive and sustainable digital development.

Additionally, the Report's analyses inform international policy debates and help build multilateral consensus on critical digital economy topics.

The Weekly Tradecast looks at the Digital Economy Report from UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) with Torbjorn Fredriksson.
