The Trade and Development Board oversees the activities of the organization. It meets in Geneva up to three times a year in executive sessions to deal with urgent policy issues, as well as management and institutional matters.
Key agenda items
UNCTAD contribution to the implementation of the Doha Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries
The Board will consider the report on the activities carried out by UNCTAD between the second quarter of 2023 and the second quarter of 2024, in support of the implementation of the Doha Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries, in a context of worsening climate impacts, slowing global economic activity, rising costs of food and energy and tightening international financing conditions.
The report provides a non-exhaustive list of examples of how UNCTAD is delivering results in the least developed countries.
The report is structured along the three pillars of UNCTAD work, research and policy analysis, intergovernmental consensus-building and technical cooperation, and includes lessons learned as well as policy recommendations for the way forward.

The secretariat will bring to the attention of member States for their consideration elements in connection with the preparatory process for the sixteenth session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.
