Beijing International Forum on Creative Economy: A Dynamic Force for the Sustainable Development of Cities

Organized under the 4th China International Fair on Trade in Services (Beijing), the Beijing International Forum on Creative Economy was opened by Vice-Mayor of Beijing Municipal Government, Madame Cheng Hong, who remarked that China is the second largest exporter and importer of services in the world with tourism, culture and recreational services in the growing trend. 
Dubai Exports hosts "Dubai-Shanghai Design Dialogue" to promote creative economy

Dubai Exports, the export promotion agency of the Department of Economic Development in Dubai, hosted the first 'Dubai-Shanghai Design Dialogue' in partnership with UNCTAD and the Shanghai Municipality recently. The Design Dialogue is part of an ongoing effort by Dubai Exports to enhance the global competitiveness of UAE firms.
Workshop on Creative Economy, and launching of the advanced version of Istanbul Creative Economy Report 2015

The event was jointly organized by the Istanbul Commerce University and UNCTAD with the support of the Ministry of Trade and Customs, Governorship and Metropolitan City of Istanbul and Istanbul Chamber of Commerce which have all contributed to the UNCTAD Istanbul Creative Economy Report, 2015.

At the invitation of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, Mr. Joakim Reiter, Deputy Secretary General of UNCTAD, undertook an advisory mission to Tehran on 27 February 2016. The purpose of the visit was to discuss possible technical assistance and capacity building that UNCTAD could provide in the context of Iran’s trade-related reforms in particular accession to the WTO.

The Integrated Strategic Plan for the Development of the Creative Economy in Cabo Verde elaborated by the Ministry of Culture is now available and it includes some of the recommendations put forward by the UNCTAD/EIF study "Economias Criativas Cabo-Verdianas: Potencializando vocações para um novo desenvolvimento".
